Balance, a state that often remains an unattainable dream. The work is built on the contrast between a calm poised face and the dynamic, rippling forms around it. The gaze slightly directed to the side suggests that the depicted figure is aware of the exuberant energy that surrounds her, but nevertheless remains completely calm. Nothing is able to upset her balance. Paradoxically, the whole thing is supported by a very thin element, which further emphasizes that the moment of balance is extremely fragile, even unreal.
