I usually work in clay because with it the creative process has very different stages. Starting from the dynamic, emotional beginning to the precise delicate retouching at the end. It’s like constantly putting your character to the test. It requires strength and determination at one moment and then delicacy and patience in the next. The most arduous moment, but decisive for the final result, is the patination of the bronze castings. Not only precision counts here, but also knowledge of chemistry and years of practice.
